This is a certificate diplomatic training program conducted by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) at the UNHQ in partnership with Collegiate Congress. This program focuses on the diplomatic, administrative, and political process of the UN and the role of missions at the UN and UN agencies. This is a 3-month opportunity that will give the students the chance to attend Security Council briefings, side events at the UN, committee meetings, UNITAR Diplomatic Training program with UN Diplomats, and visit with various missions at the UN.

This program is taught by UN Diplomats and entails hands-on experience to understand how the United Nations and representatives of member states work to implement their agenda. The program will also provide students the opportunity to interact with UN ambassadors and diplomats. Students will then get to engage with whichever topic they are most interested in, within the realm of the UN Security Council issues.

The program will culminate in a final paper on one of the six committees the student must attend during their tenure at the United Nations. An understanding of global governance is a part of this program.

This program is the first of its kind in the United Nations and is developed by Collegiate Congress Inc.

Diplomatic Forum

The Diplomatic Forum serves as a  platform for Diplomats to educate the students and the community about their culture, mannerisms, their vision to the world, commonalities with other nations, and he/she shares his/her path to diplomacy.

The Diplomatic Forum is an academic resource as it provides a real understanding of a country’s culture, mannerisms, and commonalities from the Representative of the respective country to the United Nations or to the United States. TDF has shown its non-political and unbiased nature, which is the reason that almost all academic institutions in New York have partnered with us. TDF helps to understand the culture and other aspects of a country that we haven’t heard of.  we are more exposed to the political and the negative version of a country, but the beauty in it.

The Diplomatic Forum believes that, without educating the youth about the best of other countries’ values, and cultures, it is a long way to bring the world together. so far TDF has been successful and academically beneficial.
